Old School Part 1

My English teacher had us do a preliminary paper on which one single characteristic makes for a successful human being. Traits that came up included honesty, self-confidence, kindness, morality, and many others. However, I believe that only one trait will lead to all traits required for a person's success: love. And I'm not talking about the love between a man and woman, but an unconditional, forgiving, and graceful love. The kind of love that God has for us. If everyone were to show everyone else this kind of love, then honesty, kindness, charity, etc. would all fall into place. If we have genuine love, then we are doing exactly what we were designed to do. How easy is it for a pencil to write? That's what it was designed to do. But when the pencil is corrupted by outside, and even inside forces. It gets jammed up on the inside, or broken. Like the pencil, we too can be jammed up or broken, but it does not mean we can't be fixed. God loves and forgives us. So, if we are constantly being kept clean and being healed, why can't we do what we were designed to do? Think about it.
