Old School Part 5
I got to spend a day climbing on real rock on Friday. We went to Crowder's Mountain, which is just outside of Gastonia, and because it was with my Intermediate Rockclimbing class, I got excused from all of my classes. I have to say it was probably the most fun I've had in a long time. The feeling of climbing real rock was amazing and the views I got from the tops of the climbs were gorgeous. I'll have to remember my camera next time. At any rate, I subsequently went to REI yesterday and bought some climbing shoes. I think this be the beginning of two things for me: a new hobby and the end of my bank account. Anyway, I highly recommend that all of you at NCSU take at least Basic Rockclimbing while you're here. You learn the basics of rockclimbing and get to spend lots of time on the faux rock wall. See ya!
