You can't take the sky from me...

So the Firefly movie, Serenity, just released its trailer. Watch it here. You'll need iTunes.

I'll be showing the 2-hour pilot of the series this movie is based on sometime in the next two weeks. Let me know if you want in on the action.

Funny Conversation

Me: Liz, I think you're worth waiting for.
Liz: Aww... Jerod...
Crystal: I'm leaving!

Mind you, we were discussing whether or not to wait until the fall to start reading a book, but the conversation was funny none-the-less.

Posters & Pies

So for the end of Senior Design, they have this event called Posters & Pies. Each team (all 20 of them) will give a 2 minute presentation on their project, then stand around in the Talley Student Center Ballroom at NC State with a demo or some such of the product they produced this semester. I've heard that the food is pretty good. At any rate, anyone who reads this is invited, but not obligated to come. For more information, go here.

Oh, I'm on Team 13, by the way.

Scripture I've read lately

So I've been reading in 1st and 2nd Timothy lateley, which speak of characteristics of Godly leaders, some of which I see in myself, and others of which I'd like to show someday. But in light of recent emotional turmoil, I was drawn to this passage:

"My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your sight;
Keep them in the midst of your heart.
For they are life to those who find them
And health to all their body.
Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life.
Put away from you a deceitful mouth
And put devious speech far from you.
Let your eyes look directly ahead
And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.
Watch the path of your feet
And all your ways will be established.
Do not turn to the right nor to the left;
Turn your foot from evil."
-Proverbs 4:20-27

Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to thee.
