So my birthday approaches...

Alright, Wednesday is my birthday. I don't know how many people read this, or if those that do have already done something for me or not. But if you haven't done anything and want to do something nice, but for cheap (probably free) here's what you can do.

I've signed up on notebooks4free.com for a free iBook. I need 18 referrals to get the notebook. This is where you come in. Follow this link: http://www.notebooks4free.com/default.aspx?r=466906. You'll need a credit card and a computer that has not been used for another one of my referrals. (This means that if any of you in a single household want to help, you'll need to go to the library or something.) The free deal right now is from Stamps.com. You download the program and install it. Do the registration and all that. You'll get a free 4-week trial. As long as you cancel the plan within the first 4 weeks, you won't be charged. I'll need you to wait until the offer is confirmed before you cancel it, but I get notifications of when my referrals have been approved. I'll email you as soon as its safe to cancel. (If you are some random person I don't know, I won't have your email, so just wait a couple of weeks before you cancel.)

Once you've done my referral, I'll be happy to be a referral for you. But I won't be able to do it for a notebook. You could try ipodnano4free.com, mp3players4free.com, cameras4free.com, or flatscreens4free.com to find something you'd want. Well that's about it. If you're somebody I know and have my contact info, feel free to talk to me about the deal.

::EDIT::
I forgot that my email addy was in my profile, so if you are a total stranger and want to be informed of when it's safe to cancel the Stamps.com thing, just email me at the address in my profile. Use a subject line of "I want to help you get an iBook"

What a sweet toy!

So my brother posted on his blog about how he got a new toy and had links to pictures. Well, being the ADD nerd that I am, I immediately began looking around the site at all of the pictures of the different Transformers this guy has. While on the site I discovered that apparently Hasbro released an amazing model of Optimus Prime for their 2oth anniversary. It's highly-articulated (and I could be talking about speech here, because the mouth plate even moves) and comes with Prime's awesome blaster, a Megatron in gun mode, and Prime's energon axe. Not something I'd lay down the cash for, or even ask someone else to do so, but something that needs recognition.

Anyway, that's enough nerdiness from me... for now.

I have no idea what to say...

None of my own words can express how I feel about what's going on in Louisiana right now. But a reporter for the LA Times is there and this article is unbelievable.
