The big yellow one's the sun...

Brian Regan's favorite word is hyperbole. He thinks it's the most awesome, superb, terrific, amazing word ever. And if you don't think so, then you're probably the most moronic idiot in the universe.

C-Mac and Liz got me a ticket to the Brian Regan show for my birthday. We just got back from the show and my face hurts from laughing so hard.

Nickel Creek Show

Seven of us went to Greensboro last night to see Nickel Creek at the War Memorial Auditorium. Because Crystal is amazing, we had tickets on the 3rd row. The show was amazing and I enjoy Nickel Creek more now than ever before.

I ended up getting a t-shirt, which I wasn't planning on doing. After the show, I was able to find Mark Shatz (the guy who plays base & did Irish step dancing/clogging during "The Fox" last night) and Sara Watkins (violins, ukulele, & vocals) and get them to sign it. I was amazed with how patient Sara was as she was surrounded by her fans. And Mark was so down to earth, he ended up playing the Big Booty game with some of the fans waiting for Chris & Sean to come out.

I think one of the big mistakes that a lot of fans make is thinking that these people are more than just talented people. I saw Chris start to make his way off the tour bus, but so did a bunch of teen to twenty-something girls and they started swarming, causing him to go back onto the bus. Neither he nor Sean came back out before we left (which was around 11:45, 30 minutes after the show ended) .

So maybe I'll take that t-shirt to the next Nickel Creek concert to get it signed by Chris & Sean. I took some pictures, but only a couple of them of the band turned out good. You can see them here.

Can't Stop Injuring Myself

Monday night, Jerod goes to play racquetball for the first time in... well... too long.
Monday night, Jerod injures his back.
Tuesday morning, Jerod goes to Student Health and is told he has a muscle spasm in his back.
Tuesday, Jerod takes prescribed muscle relaxers and goes to classes (there's a good idea).
Wednesday, Jerod feels a little better, but his lower back still intermittently tightens and loosens up.

That is all.
